Off to Olds!

This time of year has yet again snuck up on me and I forgot that Fibre Week at Olds College was this weekend. For some reason I always think it is after Stampede instead of just after TNNA. I drove up to Olds to check out the Merchant Mall. There were new vendors there that I hadn't seen in previous years and some of the ones that I am familiar with didn't come again this year.

I found some lovely roving from West Coast Fibre Works . It's made from s.w. merino. It's a dream to touch and I just couldn't resist that color! I love the way hand dyed rovings look spun into yarn. *irresistible*

I also found some very reasonably priced merino top in solid colors from Legacy Studio. I chose the Wintergreen and the Indigo. So beautiful and soft!

The rest of the day I will spend spinning - I can't wait!

Now Pirates in The Sea!

I've just finished up sewing together another one of Pat's beautiful creations. She always adds a special touch to each sweater she knits - just like the swords on the back of this one. Pretty cute!

Photos for Mary's Cardigan

This morning I rushed and rushed to complete Mary's Cardi for the photoshoot with Cheryl at 10:00. Cheryl was amazing and saved the day. I'm leaving on Tuesday for TNNA and I haven't finished writing up the pattern. The up side is that now I will have photos that I can use to make a flyer to intice customers with my newest pattern (Mary's Cardi) at the Done Roving booth. Here are a few of the photos that Cheryl shot today.

Mary looked so cute today! She was checking out her bunnies in their hutch.

I also made a sample of Mary's Cardi using Diamond Luxury Collection Foot Loose in color #25 Lollipop to try out my pattern.
BIG thanks to Cheryl for being super amazing and to Mary for being the sweetest little girl and looking so adorable!

Fishies in the Sea!

I'm trying to finish up all of the customer projects before I leave for TNNA in Columbus - a little over a week away! Just finished sewing up another sweater for one of our customers. She does the cutest baby sweaters and then brings them in to have me finishing them for her. I love sewing up her sweaters, as she always does a great job of the knitting making them an easier sew.
