Her love affair with all things fiber started when she was a wee child, learning to knit and crochet from her mother. Her mum, Margaret, taught her many valuable skills both crafty and not.
Sarah started selling original designs using her jewelry making skills to create one of a kind, handcrafted jewelry. Selling at local markets and through local boutiques, taught her at an early age that she wanted to design accessories and clothing.
When she was 15, she starting working at That Craft Store in Nelson, BC, where she learned many different crafts. Sarah became proficient at many arts and crafts eventually becoming a teacher for the store that she worked full time at. Some of the things that Sarah taught (and continues to teach) are:

- Crafting: Ukrainian Pysanky - Traditional Ukrainian Egg Decorating,Candle Making - Paraffin and Beeswax, Soap Making, Creating Cards for Every Occasion
In 2005, She entered the Swarovski Crystal Cultural Fusion 2005 contest with a intricate beaded necklace design where she was chosen as one in 16 in the amature section. She was published in their book, "Swarovski Cultural Fusion 2005" and had her necklace on display at the Swarovski Cultural Fusion Gala in New York City.
After becoming the manager at That Craft Store, which she managed for 4 years, Sarah was asked to teach Pysanky - traditional Ukrainian Egg Decorating at Touchstones Museum in Nelson, BC. Later, she decided to move to Calgary, AB to pursue new opportunities.
Sarah currently works at a local yarn store in Calgary, AB. She teaches numerous classes - see current class list here. Petite Purls magazine published Ewan - a Sideways knit, cabled, little boys sweater. Next, her Ava Beret made the front cover of Petite Purls Issue 11 - Winter 2012. Check out Petite Purls for really sweet and fashionable patterns.
Sarah has also been published in the online magazine Knitcircus with a color work, sideways knit sweater, Winterside.
Cast On Magazine published her Sottosopra - Top Down Mittens pattern in Cast On, August-October 2012.
Recently she had her Bellisfaire Beanie come out in the Crochet One-Skein Wonders: 101 Projects from Crocheters around the World book from Storey Publishing.

Sarah also does a lot of custom knitting for people who want something handmade and unique. Last year she worked with Travel Alberta by creating advertising props for their winter campaign!
Knitwear Repair is the arm of A Sarah Grieve Production that repairs sweaters and all types of fabric - knitted, crochet, woven or regular fabric. She has worked for cashmere clothing companies, retail clothing stores and for various knitting stores repairing items with virtually invisible results. Currently Sarah is working her way through the Technical Writing Program at Mount Royal University and is enjoying it immensely. She also tech edits patterns.
She recently had an article published in the Society for Technical Writers Alberta Newsletter, SuperScript, "Technical Editing . . .and Knitting?".
